Spike or cross base?
Use the ground spike on grass and dirt. Use the cross base with a water bag on pavement, sidewalks and indoors, where you can't push anything into the ground.
Which height?
10 ft works for storefronts and booths. 12 ft and 15 ft flags are for roadside spots where drivers need to see you from farther back.
